About the school

The Russian Violin school has been in operation for nine years under the direction of Sergei Olikhovski, one of B.C.'s finest violin teachers. Private lessons are offered to students at any level. Students may take London College or RCM examinations. As well as private lessons for students of all ages, there are two ensembles. Both the children's ensemble and the adult chamber ensemble are for intermediate players. The adult ensemble is formed from members who all started their music studies as adults. This group competed in the Kiwanis International Music Festival where they were awarded a Bronze certificate. Both ensembles give various performances during the year, in care homes and other invitations.

Fees
These fees are in effect starting September 01, 2005. Beginner and Intermediate fees per month - payable in advance each first of the month:
Two lessons per week (one hour each) ... $320
Two lessons per week (45 minutes each) ... $260
One hour per week (can be split into two 30 minute lessons) ... $180
One 45 minutes lesson per week ... $140
One half hour lesson per week ... $100

Advanced students: fee is $50 flat rate per hour, minimum one hour/week (level defined by teacher).

Fees are based upon four lessons per month. Cancellation agreement: Notice must be given one month prior. Cancelled lessons can be made up if 24 hours notice is given, based on time availability. Same day cancellations are not made up.
